New for 2024, the T20 is a revolutionary space saving staircase constructed in steel. Fully patented, it is supplied in a straight flight with alternator style steps to reduce the overall footprint of the stair. Uniquely it is a bolt together system with interlocking piece making up the stringers and the treads.

It is specifically design for occasional use within a home – settings like a loft or a small mezzanine. Choose your kit based on the height measures on the drop down menu. The height of each step is adjustable with small shims, so for example, the 12 riser kit will suit heights between 2520mm and 2720mm.

Spindles and handrail are included to one side of the staircase with the option for second side balustrade if required. Matching landing balustrade can be ordered as well alongside riser bars if required to reduce the gap between the treads. Each stair arrives to site in either a White, Light Grey, Black or Grey finish and comes complete with assemble instructions.

LANDING BALUSTRADE

If you require additional balustrade to protect your opening upstairs, this is available in 1m lengths that can be cut, joined and adjusted to suit.

An individual kit consists of;-

9 x 20mm diameter Steel spindles
1m length of handrail to match stair
1 x floor support post
1 x handrail to handrail connecting piece
1 x spindle to spindle connector
1 x spindle to wall connector

PARTIAL RISER INFILL

Riser infill pieces are available to reduce the gap between the steps.

In the UK the regulations require a gap of no larger than 100mm between the treads. This is a safety rule to prevent young children sliding through the gap.

These riser infills are formed with 3mm plate steel which fit to the rear of the treads with small brackets. They do not fully enclose the riser, just reduce the gap.

These infill pieces are finished (if wished) in the same powder coated colour as the rest of the steelwork and they can be added to the order by selecting YES on the dropdown above.

If you are unsure if you require them, please check with your building control officer.

These can be fitted retrospectively once the stair is assembled but should they are ordered separately, a further delivery charge would be due.

BALUSTRADE FOR SECOND SIDE

In most settings the staircase will be positioned alongside a wall and the handrail and spindles included to one side will be sufficient.

Occasionally the stair will be positioned away from the wall and the second side of the staircase will need protection. For that reason we offer ‘balustrade for the second side’ optional extra, including enough spindles and handrail to protect the second side of the staircases.

Delivery Info

The T20 Spiral Staircase is considered a custom made order and it is dispatched directly from the factory in Italy and delivered to your door.

Delivery times are generally between 4 and 6 weeks from order but this can increase over summer and Christmas periods.

As this is a custom made product we are not able to accept cancelations.

When the staircase arrives in the UK, the transport company will call you directly to arrange a suitable day for delivery. This is a ‘kerbside’ delivery with most vehicles equipped with a tail-lift and pump truck so the pallet can be wheeled to a safe location across even terrain. A signature will be required to accept the goods and confirm they have arrived in good condition. The delivery company generally delivers between 8am and 5pm during the week.

Delivery is included to mainland UK destinations.

Frequently asked Questions

What Size of opening do I need in the floor?

The opening in the floor needs to be a minimum of 700mm wide for all models with balustrade to one side (the default option). Should you have balustrade on both sides the opening width would need to be 740mm minimum. For length of opening you would need a minimum of 1060mm for the 11 riser, 1300mm for the 12 riser, 1540mm for the 13 riser and 1780mm for the 14 riser. All these dims are minimum and designed to give you sufficient headroom clearance.

How long does delivery take?

The T20 staircase is made to order and produced in Italy. It generally takes 4-6 weeks to received your spiral.

How difficult is the stair to install?

In the majority of instances, the spiral is installed in a day by 2 people. This of course will depend on the competency of the individuals and the height of the stair and the amount of landing balustrade. Some customers opt to employ a builder or carpenter whist more experienced DIYers tackle it themselves.

How much space does it take up?

If you have a look at the above plan drawings you will see the footprint of each stair. Each stair can be assembled left foot first or right foot first.
